How we work

Fast, without you giving up ownership or architecture quality.

Those three usually trade against each other. The way we resolve it is not a secret: a human decides the architecture, AI accelerates the typing, a senior engineer reviews every line of it, and the whole thing lands on infrastructure with your name on the invoice.

The process

Six steps, and who does each one.

The "who" column is the part worth reading. It is the difference between a studio that uses AI and one that has quietly replaced its engineers with it.

  1. Discovery and architecture

    Human

    A person sits with the problem: what the system has to do, what the data actually looks like, what it has to talk to. Nothing is generated at this stage. This is where projects are won or lost, and it is not a step you can accelerate.

  2. A structured build plan

    Human

    The architecture becomes an explicit, written plan — data model, interfaces, the order things get built in. You see it before anything is written, and it is what everything afterwards is checked against.

  3. AI-accelerated implementation

    AI, on rails

    Implementation runs against that plan with AI assistance. The model writes code inside a design it did not choose — which is the whole distinction between acceleration and outsourcing your judgement to a model.

  4. Senior review of every output

    Human

    Nothing reaches you unreviewed. A senior engineer reads it the way they would read a colleague's pull request — correctness, security, what happens under load, what happens when it fails.

  5. Deploy to infrastructure you own

    Human

    Onto a server provisioned in your name, with deploys that are reproducible and reversible. Not our account, not our platform, no step that only we can perform.

  6. Documented handoff

    Human

    The repository, the runbooks, the credentials, and the reasoning behind the decisions. Written so that another engineer could take it over from the documentation alone — including if that engineer is not us.

Proof

None of that is worth much on its own.

A process is a claim about how work gets done. Here is the work, and here is who did it — both with dates, roles and numbers attached.

Shipped work Two engineering engagements with measured outcomes — form latency cut from 1–2 seconds to under 500ms, 30% faster data retrieval — and the open-source package anyone can install and check. Who does the reviewing The senior review in step four is not an abstraction. It is a named engineer with a CV, a degree, a teaching history and a public GitHub account.

What we do not do.

Most agency pages only list strengths. A strength costs nothing to claim. These cost us something to hold, which is what makes them worth reading.

  • No fake urgency

    No expiring discounts, no "two slots left this month", no countdown on a quote. If a price is right today it is right next week.

  • No vendor lock-in

    Nothing is hosted on our account, built on proprietary tooling, or structured so that leaving is expensive. You can take the project elsewhere at any point and it will keep working.

  • No unreviewed AI output

    AI writes code here. It does not decide architecture, and nothing it produces ships without a senior engineer having read and understood it.

  • No invented track record

    Every number on this site comes from a real system, and every past engagement is named with the role and the dates. There are no testimonials here because there are none to quote yet.

  • No work we should not take

    If the scope call reveals that you need something we are not the right team for, that is what you will hear. An honest no is faster and cheaper than a project that should not have started.
